a few days in Guadalupe

On Mondays, all students in Guadalupe wear uniforms (or traditional clothes) to school.   Annalise is wearing  traditional Saraguro clothes.

Emmett is playing for a newly organized soccer team.   His soccer team (and 2 others) had an away game in Panguintza.    Three teams traveled for 45 minutes to Panquintza.     Approximately 45 boys rode standing up in a small cattle truck.   There was no roof and everybody was rained on during the way back.    Literally, we were standing shoulder-to-shoulder in the truck.   Emmett had loads of fun with 45 rowdy boys in the back of the truck.

Kate and I usually go for a walk on Saturday mornings.   This past Saturday we used this tram to transport us across a river.
