Jardin Botanico

After class on Thursday we ate packed peanut butter and Nutella sandwiches and took a cab to Parque La Carolina.   Once again, we discovered more interesting sights and activities at this park.   Our first stop was the Jardin Botanico.   A vast collection of flora that represents the different climate zones of Ecuador.   We saw cacti and lush flowering plants of the Amazon region.   We also went to a Vivarium to see snake, turtles and crocodiles native to Ecuador but we were not allowed to take pictures.
